Quale's Electronics began operations as a TV repair shop in downtown Twin Falls on January 3, 1966. By the next year, a venture into new TV sales with the Muntz brand was successful enough to move the business firmly into sales of TVs and home electronics. In those days, manufacturers limited the outlets they would authorize so top brand names were often not available to small dealers. Admiral authorized us in 1968, however the big break came in 1971 when Mitsubishi took a chance with us with their MGA brand and sales dramatically increased. Soon thereafter Motorola with their Quasar brand and Sony signed us as a dealer. Sharp microwaves were a hot product. The business grew in volume and profitability. VCRs, projection TV, and Walkman products came along and provided excitement and growth. In 1976 the business relocated into a new building constructed at 1730 Kimberly Rd. Space was expanded in 1988. Later, products and services such as Dish Network and a Bridgemax partnership were added. By the early 1990s, sons Bruce and and Steve assumed major roles in the business as Mel slowly phased himself out of management while Helen continued her bookkeeping and accounting role. Today Bruce and Steve have full management responsibility and ownership. Total customer satisfaction remains the highest priority for the business.
